Honey Bee quiz donations leave Headway buzzing

A brain injury charity is buzzing with delight as donations pour in during weekly quiz nights at the Honey Bee pub in Fairford Leys. Almost £900 has been raised for Headway Aylesbury Vale as the watering hole in Trenchard Street has become a hive of activity every Tuesday night since the start of September. The Honey Bee decided earlier this year to give near neighbours Headway the proceeds of a raffle during the regular free quiz night – and pub bosses are delighted with the response from the public. Brain injury survivors urged to seek help from free clinics

A charity is reaching out to survivors of brain injuries by appealing for them to take advantage of a unique opportunity to seek support and guidance offered by a free drop-in clinic. Headway Aylesbury Vale set up the series of clinics in July at its premises in Fairford Leys and is urging survivors of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), their families and carers not to miss out on these sessions. Mick rides home in triumph after epic charity cycle ride

Charity cyclist Mick Simmonds has returned home in triumph to Bucks after an epic 957 mile ride which has so far raised around £5,000 for Headway Aylesbury Vale. Businessman Mick, 53, a painting and decorating contractor from Quainton, took ten days to cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End. He had no support crew as he braved the toughest hills in Britain, mostly in pouring rain. Among his many sponsors was celebrity David Jason, who is one of his customers.
